Established in 2024, Dance Athletics Studio is excited to bring new opportunities to dancers of all ages and levels. Founded on the idea that dance can shape the future leaders of tomorrow, build community, and instill passion for something greater than ourselves. The Dance Athletics Studio team aims to help students become successful in all aspects of life. We have developed a unique training program that is individualized to each student. Dance Athletics Studio strives to grow the artist, grow the athlete, and most of all- grow the individual.
Kayla Clancy opened the doors to Dance Athletics Studio in 2024. As a Maryland native, she grew up dancing in Carroll County, but has fell in love with the Clarksville community. She received her B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography from Towson University. Her journey with dance has allowed her to dive into many facets of the industry and is excited to share her experiences with her students.
She is currently a member of Gridlock Dance, a Washington D.C based contemporary company. During her time with Gridlock, she has been mentioned in Dance Magazine's Top 25 to watch in 2022 by her director Madeline Maxine Gorman.
She is proud to be a part of the Clarksville community, not only as the director of Dance Athletics Studio, but as the co-coach of the River Hill High School Poms Team.
Along with dancing and coaching, she has traveled the country managing dance conventions and competitions. Meeting dancers and industry professionals from all backgrounds, she cannot wait to show her students how dance can truly be life changing.
Gabby Clancy grew up dancing in Maryland with her sister Kayla and they opened the doors to Dance Athletics Studio together in hopes to continue to grow their dance family. She graduated from Elon University with a B.S in Exercise Science with minors in Dance and Biology. During her four years at Elon, she was a member of the Elon University Dance Team and contributed to the team's first Division I Hip Hop National Championship as the sole captain. She was also named a two time All-American collegiate dancer by the National Dance Alliance.
She brings her expertise and experience in the dance team industry to provide a new outlook for students by sharing opportunities to further their passion for dance in higher education.
Upon graduation, she became the co-coach of the River Hill High School Poms Team and is excited to continue to connect with the Clarksville community.
